Editorial policy
GhanaCarHire is an independent directory of car rental, chauffeur and airport-transfer firms in Ghana. This page explains where our information comes from, how we date it and how we correct it.
Firm listings
Every listing starts from the firm’s own public information: its website, its Google Business profile or its own social pages. We record the source and the date we checked it, and show the sources on the listing. Firms that claim their listing can update their own details, photos, cars and prices.
Prices
We show prices only as the firm publishes them, in Ghana cedis (GH₵), with approximate £, $ and € conversions. We never estimate or invent a price. Where we summarise prices (for example in a quick answer at the top of a page), the figures come only from prices published by listed firms, and the page shows the date they were checked. Always confirm the price with the firm in writing.
Verification
The green Verified badge means we checked copies of three documents: the business registration certificate, the owner’s Ghana Card or passport, and vehicle insurance. Nothing else is checked. See how we list and verify firms.
Paid placements
Listing is free. Firms can pay for the Verified check or for a Featured placement. Featured firms are clearly labelled and their order rotates daily. Payment never changes the facts on a listing, and we don’t sell rankings in our guides.
Reviews
We only publish reviews from customers who contacted a firm through GhanaCarHire, and every review is checked before it appears. We don’t write, buy or seed reviews, and we don’t copy ratings from other websites. Star ratings in search results come only from these reviews.
Guides
Travel guides are researched from official sources (government, airport and transport authorities) and the firms’ own published information. Each guide shows when it was published and when its facts were last checked. If a fact can’t be confirmed, we leave it out.
Photos
Photos come from the firms themselves or from their own public pages, and are credited. Firms can ask us to remove any photo.
Corrections
If something is wrong, email [email protected] or use the contact form. We correct factual errors and update the checked date. Firms can also claim their listing and fix it themselves.
