Questions from firms
Is the basic listing really free?
Yes. Listing, claiming, 10 photos, 1 video, WhatsApp and call buttons and enquiries cost nothing.
What does verification check?
We review your ORC registration or business name certificate, the owner’s Ghana Card, photos of at least two cars with plates visible plus DVLA registration, and commercial or hire insurance. We also call or WhatsApp you to confirm your contact details and check your location. Approved firms get the green Verified badge for one year, then we re-check. We also re-check if we receive a complaint.
How much is verification?
Free for the first 3 months after launch (until 1 February 2027). After that it costs GH₵100 a year for free-tier firms, and it is included with Featured.
How does Featured rotation work?
Featured firms appear at the top of their city and category pages. When several firms are Featured in the same place, their order changes every day so everyone gets a fair turn.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer only. When you choose Featured or verification in your dashboard, you get a private payment page with the bank details, the amount and a unique order reference (for example GCH-0042). Use that reference on your transfer, then press “I’ve paid”. Your badge goes live once we confirm the payment.
Can I cancel Featured?
Featured is paid monthly. Each paid month adds one month to your Featured period, which then simply ends unless you pay for another month. Nothing renews automatically.
How do I claim a listing that’s already on GhanaCarHire?
Open your listing and press “Claim it”. If the listing shows your business email, you can verify instantly with a 6-digit code sent to that inbox. Otherwise our team checks your claim by phone or documents.
